History

Lovewell Foundation was initially known as Hope Foundation, founded in 2007 with the intention to support women exiting the sex industry and women managing addictions.

In 2016 Hope Foundation opened the Lovewell Cafe, its own social enterprise offering training, employment and hope to women experiencing vulnerabilities.

In 2020 the cafe and the foundation went through a re-branding process, transitioning from a traditional into a contemporary women’s service. It respectfully acknowledges the historical foundations of Hope Foundation as a Christian organisation while maintaining a commitment to inclusivity of women from all faiths, cultures and diversities.
